Privacy notice
How Skill3 uses profile data during matching.
Version 2026-05-14
In short
We store your profile and use it to match you with roles. We only share with employers if you turn on visibility yourself. If you upload a CV, it is stored privately and used to extract matching signals. You can delete everything from your privacy settings, anytime.
Skill3 uses profile data to generate role matches, fit scores, confidence labels, reasoning summaries and job recommendations. This pilot notice explains the current data flows and should still be reviewed by legal counsel before a broader launch.
What we collect
- Account details such as name, email, user id and referral code
- Education choices, graduation year, preferences and self-selected strengths
- Optional CV file, CV-derived role and skill signals, LinkedIn URL, experience text, volunteer work, hobbies and assessment answers
- Generated outputs such as skill vectors, role matches, fit score, confidence and job recommendations
- Product analytics events used to understand whether the pilot works
Why we use it
We process the data to provide the service itself: create your profile, match you against role clusters, explain the reasoning, improve recommendation quality and help you edit or correct the result. Optional inputs such as CV uploads, hobbies, volunteer work and assessment answers can enrich the explanation, but the product can still be used without filling every field. CV files are kept in private storage while your account remains active in the pilot, unless you delete your account or request deletion. The database stores the CV file path and derived matching outputs such as extracted role, skill and evidence signals.
AI and automation
Skill3 uses deterministic scoring plus AI-supported summarisation. The output is a career recommendation, not a hiring decision. You can edit your inputs, add context, give feedback and request deletion.
Avoid uploading sensitive information such as health, religion, political views or union membership. CV files are not shown directly to companies in the current pilot.
Processors
- Render for application hosting and server-side API routes
- Supabase for account, database and private CV file storage
- OpenAI API for optional CV and profile extraction plus match explanations
- PostHog for privacy-limited product analytics when analytics is enabled
